As an intermediate product, concentrate slurry is initially dried under pressure and stored prior to being processed into powder.

Concentrate slurry is kept in silos where it tends to stick to the silo walls, leading to material buildup and rat holes. This affects the end users’ inventory management and control capabilities to ensure an ongoing production process.

The 3DLevelScanner from BinMaster provides accurate, reliable, and real-time volume measurement of the concentrate slurry stored in silos. It also provides a 3D visualization of the distribution of material within the silo, enabling early detection of material buildup and allowing end users to schedule cleaning and maintenance activities in a timely manner.

This prevents unanticipated and unnecessary interruptions of the production upstream and the related losses in terms of time and money.

The fine talc powder is the finished product and is kept in silos before being packed or delivered in bulk.

During the filling and emptying processes talc powder creates excessive amounts of dust, promoting extreme dusty conditions within the silo. To meet delivery schedules as well as the plant’s inventory reporting needs that are fed into its ERP system, the end user has to accurately determine the amount of talc powder being stored.

The advanced dust-penetrating technology integrated in the 3DLevelScanner provides reliable, accurate, and real-time volume measurements of the talc powder even under adverse environments, and improves the end users’ inventory management and control capabilities.
